This quarter, ARES PRISM flew around the globe meeting our PRISM fans at a whole host of events. We participated in the National Space Symposium, Collaborate 17, RICS Commercial Management Conference, AACE International Conference, African Construction Expo, Southern African Railway Association, National Infrastructure Forum 2017, and AACE Annual Meeting. We cannot wait for the rest of the upcoming events this year!
National Space Symposium – Colorado Springs, USA
Despite the chilly weather, we headed to Colorado Springs from April 3-6, 2017 for the National Space Symposium. Thousands of space leaders came to the event and many visited the booth to learn how PRISM is being used on current aerospace and defense projects.
Collaborate 17 – Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
We had to be in two places at once for this one. We attended the Collaborate 17 event in Las Vegas, Nevada, from April 2-6, 2017. Our very own Thomas Cutting presented several topics at the event.
RICS Commercial Management in Infrastructure – London
In London, we exhibited at the RICS Construction Management in Infrastructure conference along with our partner, Nomitech. It was a wonderful event!
AACE International Conference – Dubai
The AACE International Conference was held in Dubai on May 1-2, 2017. Our very own Professor Andrew Landridge presented on integrating programme management for world class projects. We also were honored to accept this year’s AACE International Award for Excellence in Cost Management. The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding organizations who embody standards for excellence and innovation in the field of cost, risk and project management. ARES PRISM was acknowledged for its outstanding efforts in the Crossrail, Dubai Expo 2020, and Abu Dhabi Airport expansion projects. Following the AACE International Conference, we held a breakfast seminar nearby in Dubai where conference attendees and our local customers could learn about the latest enhancements of the PRISM software suite.
African Construction Expo – South Africa
We were thrilled to exhibit at the African Construction Expo which was located at he Callagher Convention Center in South Africa from May 23-24, 2017. This event is geared towards the construction, cement, and concrete industries with architects, engineers, contractors, quantity surveyors, government representatives, and suppliers being in attendance.
Southern African Railway Association (SARA) – South Africa
We then exhibited at the Southern African Railway Association at the Emperors Palace in South Arica from May 24-25, 2017. The central theme of this years event was “Innovation in Railways, Roads, and Ports for Regional Socio-Economic Growth”. We gladly shared how ARES PRISM can be used to accomplish just that!
AACE Annual Meeting – Orlando, Florida, USA
Next, we sponsored the AACE Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, from June 11-14, 2017. Since the event was right next to Disney World, the happiest place on earth, we did our best to bring the magic to this project controls event. We had the opportunity to present twice at this conference. First, we discussed off the shelf cost management. Then we shared the difference between using Time Phased Budgets and Cost Loaded Schedules in the creation of a PMB.
National Infrastructure Forum 2017 – London
Our final event of the quarter was the the National Infrastructure Forum on June 13th, 2017 in London. This event brings together practitioners and strategies from both the private and public sectors of the UK infrastructure industry. We met lots of wonderful people at this event and it was a fantastic way to close out the quarter!
