Contruent Wins Global Award for Project Controls in a Mega Project

Contruent, project lifecycle management software, earned the honor of the Global Award for Project Controls in a Megaproject 2018 while attending the Project Controls Expo in London last week.

While this award highlights Contruent’s success with Crossrail, it was also for our innovative approach to change management, which has been a central tenant to our success with so many clients worldwide. One massive challenge Crossrail was experiencing prior to implementing Contruent was the need to manage approval of up to 1,000 changes per period. They needed a standard process for change management, and Contruent was chosen as the tool to meet those needs so that they could automate change management and have accurate reporting despite having project management teams dispersed in multiple offices.

The following is a transcription of the speech Zoe Madams, Mace representative, delivered to present Contruent with this highly-esteemed award. We feel it says a lot about our company, our people, and our approach to partnering with clients to be successful.

“Our finalist is ARES Software UK (Contruent) for its work with Crossrail. On a programme this complex and vast, countless changes needed constant management. Keeping track of those changes and understanding their impact meant the difference between success and failure. That’s where the need for Contruent’s suite of software arose. It empowered the Crossrail team to effectively control, track and automate the change management process. Before implementation this was controlled manually.

The software enabled effective communications across a diverse group of contractors and consultants in a consistent way. It was the willingness to develop the software to meet the megaproject needs, including the integration of other existing software products, that drew the Judges attention here. Some excellent lessons implemented by Contruent software.”

We are so proud of our team and their commitment to achieving success. View additional Contruent accolades here.
